Because There Is No Day But Today

Focus today, anxiety focus, today
No Day But Today
Everyone is anxious about having the world put in the order they want to view it. Everyone wants to look ahead; and they see our little steps as nonsensical accomplishments. Eventually; we see ourselves piggy-backing on their anxiety as well.

It is healthy to plan for the future. Still, it should not be at the full expense of the present.  Besides, no matter how intelligent or clever we are; we can’t accurately foresee the future.  We don’t actually know what will happen along the road.
Truth is, life rarely goes as planned.  I once read somewhere that “for every person that succeeds in doing exactly what they set out to do in the exact time frame they set out to do it in, there are dozens of others who start strong and get derailed”. Therefore, if this happens to us, it isn’t really a bad thing.

The challenges blocks and obstacles are in truth opportunities which shift our perspective, to strengthen our determination, or to change our route for the better.  The goal we may have fixed our eyes on may at another time be obsolete. It can also happen that we are passionate over a dream which may at the moment seem far-fetched. If we’ll think about it, many jobs generated by technology have not existed a decade ago. And these improvements have lent many opportunities for individuals to pursue their life dreams.
What am I actually saying at this point? Just that; what I have realized a few years back, is now something that has reached full acceptance. No one knows the future entirely. Everyone’s agitation is pointless. We only have today to live by. There is no day but today.

As in a race, we keep my thoughts on the finish line with our eyes on the path; and our feet running the track. Keep in mind the goal for the future but focus more on what we can do now which will benefit we no matter what the future brings.
Hence, I plunged myself into activities of reading and writing.  I also dipped my hands on learning and practicing some likely useful skills. I challenged the existing skills and ideas that I already had. I have a little talent and appreciation in visual arts, even as a kid. I had been good in words and thoughts organization even before, I have been writing, but never to an audience. This blog is now one the experiments to mix the skills once owned to the technology we have now. Through this blog I am building something. And I am certain these efforts will help in any future circumstances that come my way. With these I’ll have some great experiences to point to and proudly say, “I built that, and I learned this”.
